Why do I need dental exams twice a year?
We recommend preventive dental exams at our Woodinville dental office twice a year. When we see you every six months, we can help you maintain your oral health and prevent small problems from becoming big problems.
What is the dental exam like at Woodin Creek Dental?
Even if your teeth look and feel okay, we still need to ensure that they are as healthy as you think they are. Gum disease, for example, can significantly compromise your oral health before you’re even aware it exists. During these appointments, Dr. Goel and Dr. Chiang check for tooth decay and gum disease by performing a comprehensive visual exam. They note the condition of each tooth and check your existing dental work. If they note an area of concern, they will recommend a digital x-ray to get the full picture of what's happening inside the tooth.
Can Cavities Affect My Dental Exam?
Prevention is all about helping you avoid discomfort and the need for involved dental treatments. A tiny cavity is easy to address with a simple filling; but if that same cavity isn’t detected for months, you may face root canal treatment or possible tooth extraction.
At Woodin Creek Dental, we are your partner in achieving great oral health and a problem-free smile. If it’s time for your next dental exam and cleaning at our Woodinville, WA dental office, please call us to arrange an appointment. We have extended hours until 7 PM three nights a week so you can plan your appointment at a time that’s convenient for you.
